Meia Rupia, Luiz I, 1881
Silver Meia Rupia (half rupee) Indo-Portuguese coin minted in the name of Luiz I, 1881. The reverse features the coat of arms of Portugal. Following a treaty with British India, these coins were minted at the Calcutta mint and were similar to the half rupee of British India in weight. The obverse carries a picture of King Luiz, while the reverse carries the Coat o Arms of Portugal.
