Silver one shilling coin of United Kingdom minted during the reign of George V. This is the second variation of the shilling during George V's reign. The obverse has a portrait of the king (uncrowned) while the reverse has a crowned lion standing atop a crown. The engraving on the obverse was done by Edgar Bertram MacKennal. 

These coins are 50% silver - silver content of British coins was reduced after the First World War. Shilling was 1/20 of a pound and was equal to 12 pence.
