1 Rupee, KRK Menon, 1949, Uncirculated, Graded 64

1 Rupee Banknote of 1949, signed by Finance Secretary KRK Menon. This was the first banknote issued after independence and coin bearing the image of George VI was replaced by the Ashok Stambh (pillar). The reverse has a circular decorative motif, as well as the denomination written in eight Indian languages.

This note has been graded 64 by PMCS, and is in uncirculated condition. The note is in uncirculated condition, and has some damage from the staples used to keep the original bundle together. Other than that, there are no folds or any signs of use.
