25 Pence, Elizabeth & Phillip, 1972

High grade 25 pence coin issued in 1972 on the silver jubilee wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip. The obverse carries a portrait of Queen Elizabeth while the reverse carries the letters EP with the figure of Eros in between. The 25 pence coin is the same weight and design as the crown coin from the pre-decimal period. This was the first crown size coin to be issued after decimalization of currency in UK.
