Silver 1 Drachm of Kumaragupta I (415-455 AD), ruler of the Gupta Empire - making them over 1,500 years old. The front of the coin carries the face of the ruler, while the reverse depicts Garuda, surrounded by legend in Brahmi. The Gupta Empire existed from mid of 3rd century to 5th century, and was a time of great advancements in science, arts, and literature for India.
