2.5 kori, Pragmalji/Victoria
Silver 2.5 kori coin of the Princely State of Kutch, minted in the name of Pragmalji - the ruler of Kutch, and Empress Victoria. These coins were minted in 1875 AD - Vikram Samvat 1931 and 1932. This was the first 2.5 kori coin minted in the state of Kutch and was machine-struck, like its larger cousin, the 5 kori coin. The basic design of the 2.5 kori remained unchanged over the next 75 years. The obverse inscription is in Devnagari while the reverse is in Urdu. The obverse also carries the three emblems of kutch - the trishul (trident), crescent and katar (dagger). A noticeable difference between this coin and later 2.5 koris is the crescent - which is a closed circle here.
This is a VERY RARE coin, with a numista rarity score of 91. See more here
