20 Rials, Iran, 1974-79

20 Rial banknote of Iran, printed from 1974-79, during the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. He was the second and the last ruler of the Pahlavi dynasty, which ruled Iran from 1925-1979, and was also the last King of Iran, replaced by the present Islamic government. The obverse of the note features a portrait of Reza Pahlavi, and two traditional Persian motifs - a carpet design and a shepherd with a ram. The reverse features an Iranian dam.
