10 Paisa, 1957-67
Copper-Nickel 10 paisa coins, issued from 1957 to 1967 by India. The coins from 1957-63 read 'naya paisa' to differentiate it from the older 'paisa' - as these were issued after decimalization of Indian currency in 1957. From 1964-67, the coins just said 'paisa', dropping the 'naya. These coins were minted in Bombay, Calcutta and Hyderabad mints.
The coins have a scalloped design and a diameter of 23 mm.
