Peace Dollar (Silver), USA
Silver 'Peace' Dollars of the US, minted from 1921-1928 and then again in 1934-35. These coins were minted to mark the end of the World War I (called Great War at the time). The obverse features the head of Lady Liberty, wearing a crown made of spikes - similar to the head of the Statue of Liberty. The reverse has an eagle perched on a rock, holding a laurel branch, with the word 'peace' inscribed below.
These coins are 90% silver.
