Gadhiya Kori, Paramara dynasty, 950-1050 AD
Coin of billion metal (debased silver) of the Paramara dynasty, which ruled parts of Malwa in the medieval era. This was one of the Hindu dynasties in medieval India. These coins were minted from 950-1050 AD and combine Indian characters with some Sassanian characteristics. These are degenerates of the Sassanian coins that circulated in Afghanistan and India from 8-11 centuries. The obverse of the coin features a stylized head while the reverse features a fire altar.
