Copper nickel coin of 5 rupees issued in 2004, on the birth centenary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, former Prime Minister of India. The obverse features a portrait of Shastri ji. This coin was issued in two variants, this is the rarer copper-nickel variant. These coins were minted at the Calcutta mint.
