Silver 2 shilling coins of South Africa (1/10 of a pound) minted in the name of King George VI. These coins were minted from 1937-47 (80% silver) and 1951-52 (50% silver). The Coat of Arms of South Africa can be seen on the reverse - this is a quartered shield showing the following - a female figure representing hope, two charging wildebeest, an orange tree and a trek wagon. The obverse features the bare head of King George VI.
