2 Annas, George V, 1917, Uncirculated/High Grade
Silver 2 anna coins of British India, minted in the name of King George V. The obverse has a portrait of the King while the reverse carries the denomination and the year of mintage. These coins were produced in the Calcutta mint.
The 2 anna was 1/8 of a rupee and the lowest value coin to be minted in silver. 1917 was the last time these coins were produced in silver - minting shifted to copper nickel after that year.
