1 Rupee, Jaipur, Shah Alam II
Silver 1 Rupee coin of the Princely State of Jaipur. The state of Jaipur was established in 1128 AD and lasted till 1948 AD, when it merged into the Indian Union. These coins have been minted in the name of Emperor Shah Alam II, the Mughal ruler. The reverse (picture 1) carries the mint mark - leaves on a branch (Jhar) and the reginal year of Emperor Shah Alam. The obverse carries the name of Shah Alam.
