1 Chuckram, Travancore, Rani Gouri Lakshmi Bayi, 1811-1814 AD
Silver 1 chuckram coin of the Princely State of Travancore issued during the reign of Rani Gouri Lakhsmi Bayi, the only woman who ruled Travancore in her own right (1810-15). These coins were issued from 1811-14. The obverse of the coins features a crescent with a diamond above and 10 pellets below. The curved lines are a representation of the feet of Lord Vishnu. The reverse of the coin features 12 pellets above a crescent, representing the 12 signs of zodiac.
