100 Yuan, Republic of China, 1936

  • Rs. 1,300.00

100 Yuan banknote of Republic of China (1912-1949), printed on the 25th anniversary of the ROC. The Republic of China was proclaimed in 1912 - shortly after the 1911 revolution that resulted in the abolition of the monarchy. The Republic of China faced two serious threats - full-scale Japanese invasion in 1937 and civil war from the Chinese Communist Part (CCP). The ROC eventually lost the civil war and retreated to Taiwan, which it continues to govern to this day, with limited international recognition. The front of the note features a portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the first President of ROC, and a respected figure in present-day China. The reverse features a building which forms part of a Confucius temple.

This is a very large note.
Size: 180 mm* 99 mm
